Srinagar, February 10 (KNO): National Conference (NC) leader, Younis Mubarak on Sunday urged the state administration to airlift the stranded passengers from Jammu to Srinagar without further delay as they are facing immense hardships due to being held up in state’s winter capital. Younis as per a statement issued to KNO said that there are old men and women including patients who are stranded in Jammu due to the closure of the national highway and their saving too have got exhausted amid the present crises. “It is worrisome that the government has left these people at the mercy of situation, caring little about the hardships they have to face due to remain stranded with no shelter and no money,” Younis said in a statement, adding that the Governor administration is duty bound to get the people out of the sordid conditions they have been compelled to live in without any fault. The NC leader stated further that the non- serious approach of the present dispensation is already taking a toll on the people and if immediate measures aren’t taken, the situation could turn more worrisome and difficult to tackle.
